Scooter driver injured after Tallahassee crash, TPD investigating

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — The Tallahassee Police Department is investigating a crash that sent a scooter driver to the hospital with serious injuries.

TPD was called to North Monroe Street and John Knox Road for a traffic crash involving a vehicle and scooter Saturday around 6:12 a.m. Upon arrival, officers immediately provided medical attention to the injured scooter driver.

The injured driver was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Police have not identified any of the drivers involved in the crash. At this time, charges have not been filed.

Investigators are asking anyone who may have seen the crash but did not speak with an officer on scene or anyone with information on the crash to call them at 850-891-4200 and ask to speak to the Traffic Homicide Unit.

They may also remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 850-574-TIPS.
