TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Riley Elementary School is celebrating the success of its students as more than 181 students improved their reading score.

On top of that, more than 144 students improved on the district test.

To show appreciation, the school brought in Tally Mac Shack to treat the students.

The principal is very proud of the accomplishments the students have made and is committed to making reading a priority within her school.

"Reading is the foundation of everything. Whether it is science, math or dealing with real world situations being able to comprehend and understand is paramount to being successful," said April Knight, principal at Riley Elementary.

Out of the group, more than 50 kids have perfect attendance.

Every nine weeks, the school plans to reward their students for academic achievements.
