TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Leon County Schools announced its plan to rename building 19 on the Rickards campus to the Maggie B. Lewis-Butler Science Wing.
Lewis-Butler was a Board Member for 32 years and a classroom science teacher for 30 years.

The district says it will follow the process of bringing the recommendation to the Rickards SAC first & then a formal School Board Item over the next few weeks.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held Wednesday, Aug. 26 for the second classroom wing at Rickards, finalizing the construction of 42 new classrooms.
