BAINBRIDGE, Ga. — After nearly a year of work, the Broad Street Alley Project in Bainbridge is now completed and ready for the community.

This project started as a way to utilize the space behind the buildings in downtown, and has really added something extra to the city.

Many business owners, project partners, and city leaders came out to Wednesday's official dedication and ribbon cutting of the Broad Street Alley.

Several project partners like those with First National Bank are excited to see downtown continue to grow.

"What we want to do is enhance our downtown, enhance our community. This is one of the ways we can achieve those goals. It benefits everyone," said Brad Barber, President/CEO of First National Bank in Bainbridge. "Not just the businesses along the downtown alleyway here, but the downtown in general, the city in general."

Although the Broad Street Alley Project has been completed, there are still a number of other construction and renovation projects going on in the downtown.
