TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for most Big Bend counties due to favorable weather conditions for rapidly spreading fires.
The Red Flag Warning will be in effect Monday from 2-8 p.m.
The warning has been issued for all counties in the Big Bend except for Taylor County.
Meteorologists say the warning means that if any fires develop, weather conditions are favorable to allow them to quickly spread.
Fire Weather Watches have been upgraded to Red Flag Warnings across the Big Bend for this afternoon. Outdoor burning is not a good idea today! Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. 🚩🚩 @abc27 #FLwx pic.twitter.com/lyFy6MY8W5
