Railroad Square Craft House celebrates Small Business Saturday

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Between Black Friday, Cyber Monday and the rest of the holiday season.

Mom-and-Pop shops are fighting to stand out.

Small Business Saturday is focused on the independent stores across the country.

Over at Railroad Square Craft House they're celebrating their first year of the shopping sales.

The bar is also an art studio for Kenny MaGuire.

Craft House owner Andrew Stone told ABC 27 what this weekend means to him and the community.

"What we've seen today is a lot of people that are shopping for small unique our gifts for the family and friends enjoying a beer watching football," said Andrew Stone, Railroad Square Craft House Owner." To be a part of this community in general like the art district...is amazing it's a family it's a very unique collective family and I wouldn't ask to be anywhere else."

American Express did a study showing people spent nearly 18 million dollars last year on Small Business Saturday.
