Quincy Police arrest suspect in armed robbery at A-1 Auto Insurance

QUINCY, Fla. (WTXL) — The Quincy Police Department has arrested the masked suspect responsible for an armed robbery at A-1 Auto Insurance on West Jefferson Street.

Wednesday, police obtained warrants to charge 40-year-old Shawn A. Owens for the robbery for A-1 Auto Insurance in Quincy.

He is charged with two counts of robbery with a deadly weapon, two counts of false imprisonment, two counts of aggravated assault and one count of petit theft.

On Monday around 11 a.m., Quincy Police responded to A-1 Auto Insurance in the 200 block of West Jefferson Street in reference to an armed robbery.

They said Owens walked into the business, pulled a gun on the employee and took an undisclosed amount of money before getting away in a red Nissan sedan.

He is currently in the Leon County Jail for unrelated charges to the robbery in Quincy.
