LEON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — Troopers say a Quincy man was killed during an early morning crash in Leon County on Saturday.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, the crash happened Saturday on North Monroe Street at 3:23 a.m.
FHP says the driver Bret Newston, 57, of Quincy was traveling on North Monroe Street when for unknown reasons he left the roadway.
After Newston's car left the road, it overturned and he was ejected from the vehicle as a result.
Troopers say Newston died at the scene.
Florida Highway Patrol was assisted by Leon County Sheriff's Office and Leon County EMS.
FHP says Newston was not wearing a seatbelt during the crash.
