JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — Marianna police are currently investigating an inmate suicide that occurred Monday morning at the Jackson County Correctional Facility.
MPD says officers responded to the Jackson County Correctional Facility in reference to the suicide around 1:30 a.m. on Monday.
When officers arrived on scene, they found a man deceased in one of the cells.
Police say medical examiners were notified and immediately responded to the scene.
At this time, officers say no foul play is suspected.
The man was identified as 69-year-old Michael Dodgion.
This case remains under investigation by the Marianna Police Department.
