THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WTXL) — Thomasville Police Department says a shooter is on the run after two back-to-back shootings that left one man in critical condition and another with a gunshot wound to the hand.

Police say they received the first call around 11:13 p.m. for a shooting that occurred in the 100 block of Crystal Street on Wednesday.

Approximately 45 minutes later, police say they received another call about a shooting that had occurred at Villa North Apartments.

The victim told responding officers that he was shot during a robbery. He said the suspect demanded his jewelry and shot him one time in the hand, according to TPD.

Investigators are currently trying to see if both shootings are related and caused by the same suspect.

They say the shooter in both incidents is still on the run.
