TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — A plan to bring a treasure hunt to Tallahassee backfires.

Good news though there are still a few winners in this story.

The business "Breakout Games" had planned to hold the treasure hunt at Cascades Park.

But Thursday morning, after more than 8,000 people had expressed interest in the event on Facebook organizers had to move the event due to permit problems.

Kleman Plaza was filled with people who learned about the change in location.

So at least a couple people managed to find those crisp, new 100 dollar bills.

"It is a way to walk around Tallahassee and have fun, and I am an underpaid public school teacher. So winning some money would be great," said Bronwen West, a Public School Teacher.

One young lady Chloe Turner, walked away with 100 bucks!

She had no concrete plans for how to spend the cash.
