JEFFERSON COUNTY, Fla. — A pedestrian suffered serious injuries in a hit-and-run accident on I-10 in Jefferson County.
Jason King, 40, of Davenport, Fla. suffered serious injuries in the accident.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Wednesday at about 4:40 a.m. on I-10 westbound near milemarker 226.
FHP states a driver of a Volvo was traveling westbound on I-10 in the outside lane and King was walking on the emergency shoulder.
FHP says the Volvo hit King and continued to drive. King was later taken to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.
The driver of the Volvo is unknown at this time and charges are pending.
