TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — This weekend, you can see a piece of history in Tallahassee.

The Rise Above Traveling Exhibit is back in the Capitol City. They have a P-51C Mustang flown by the Tuskegee Airmen.

These planes protected bombers during World War II. This particular plane crashed and was rebuilt twice.

"Everybody plays into how these guys managed to succeed in doing what they did,” said Dr AJ Brickler, a member of the Commemorative Air Force. “Their story is one that created inspiration. And everyone needs a little inspiration."

The exhibit is at the Flightline Group hanger on Capital Circle Southwest and will be open Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
