TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — One local brewery is taking their distilled hand sanitizer statewide.
Ology Brewing Company signed a contract with the State of Florida to help with the shortage of sanitizer in the state.
Like most local businesses, they have been hit hard by the pandemic, but they see this as an opportunity to help.
They have already sent out 4,000 gallons of product and have more to go.
Nick Walker, the owner and head brewer at Ology Brewing Company, says this is also a way of giving their employees work hours.
"We've been having crews of our team set up," said Walker. "We got a tanker full of Ethanol last week, and this past Saturday they cranked out a lot of hand sanitizer, and so, giving hours to our employees and being able to help out our community."
Ology has extended it's hours during the pandemic and is also giving away hand sanitzer with every pick up order.
