BAINBRIDGE, Ga. (WTXL) — After being made of a social media post about an alleged attempted child abduction in Bainbridge, officers are asking anyone with information to contact them.

Bainbridge Public Safety says that they are aware of a circulating Facebook post that details an attempted child abduction at the BP gas station on Shotwell Street Friday morning.

However, Bainbridge Public Safety, nor the Decatur County Sheriff’s department, have received any calls about the incident. Officers also say there isn't a BP gas station on Shotwell Street, so they are "unclear" of where exactly the alleged incident took place.

If any one witnessed, or has any information about this, they ask that you please contact Investigator Mark Esquivel at 229-248-2038.
