NWS: EF-0 tornado touched down in Cook County after Sally made landfall

COOK COUNTY, Ga. (WTXL) — A EF-0 tornado touched down in Cook County Wednesday but caused minimal damage.

The National Weather Service in Tallahassee said that a survey done Thursday determined an EF-0 tornado with winds of 75 mph touched down in Cook County Wednesday afternoon.

There was some tree and powerline damage reported in the area the tornado was believed to touch down, but no other damage was reported.
