TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Tallahassee's oldest operating cafe is closing its doors, the owners sighting financial woes.

The family owned and operated restaurant has been around since 1955 and passed down three generations, providing American dishes for names like past Florida Governor's Bob Graham and Lawton Chiles.

Jimmy Mitchell has worked at the restaurant for decades and is sad to see the cafe passed down by his father Nick, finally go away.

"I'll just miss all my customers its been a great run, I've met some wonderful people down here that's the only sad part about it not seeing the people," said Mitchell.

If you still want to show your support in any way for a part of Tallahassee history, you have until Dec. 20 when their last lunch service will be held.
