New senior home bringing more jobs to Thomasville community

THOMASVILLE, Ga. — A groundbreaking ceremony for the Residence at Oak Grove to provide housing for seniors for in Thomasville.

The project will hold 50 assisted living facilities and 30 Memory Care Units that would specifically cater to those with Alzheimer's and dementia.

The multi-million dollar investment in the community is expected to provide 40 to 60 long-term jobs.

"Currently as you can tell we are providing significant economic benefits in the community. We just did construction here, total investment is roughly $14 million to build out and to complete this community," said Matthew Price.

The 80-unit facility is scheduled to open in August or September 2020.
