MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) — The city of Midway has a new city manager.
Last week, Midway city council members voted to hire Lenwood Herron to serve as the interim city manager. This comes after city council voted to remove former city manager Leslie Steele from office.
Herron say's it is time for Midway to focus on the future and bring more money to the city.
"I have no interest on anything that has gone on in the past, I am going to focus on today and tomorrow," said Lenwood Herron, the Midway Interim City Manager. "That's our primary goal to make Midway the number one town that has smart growth and quality growth in north Florida."
Herron says he expects to be the interim temporarily. The city is actively looking for the next city manager.
