VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) — Local and federal authorities have seized a large amount of Flakka and cocaine worth nearly $125,000 from a Valdosta home.
The Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office says that on April 16 they, along with members of the FBI Task Force, conducted search warrants at a home in the 2300 block of Deborah Drive.
During the search, authorities seized 539 grams of cocaine and approximately 700 grams of a cathinone based stimulant, commonly referred to as Flakka. The estimated street value of the drugs seized is $124,000.
The drugs were seized as part of an ongoing investigation into the activities of a group of local drug dealers, several of which have been arrested and are in custody on state and federal charges. Through interviews with cooperating witnesses’ and observations by investigators, it was determined that Shonn Jerome Tucker had been utilizing the location to store the above mentioned drugs.
The homeowner, Antwan Wilcox, was complicit in storage of the illegal drugs on his property. Tucker, and criminal associates of Tucker, have been the focus of the investigation, which deputies say has led to numerous arrests and seizures in and around the Lowndes County area.
Neither have been taken into custody. LCSO says they will be continuing the investigation into others involved with Tucker.
