TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — What's more patriotic than becoming an American citizen on the 4th of July?
That's what happened to 12 people on Thursday at Tallahassee's Celebrate America event.
Part of the night's festivities included a naturalization ceremony for new American citizens.
Each of them all smiles as they were proudly welcomed as fellow Americans surrounded by family and friends.
"Now to see them actually sworn in as American citizens it's a great feeling. I'm proud of him, I love him and I'm just happy for him," Ken Mason.
Those who were sworn in Thursday come from countries around the world.
