TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Images of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Civil Rights Activist Rosa Parks have been unveiled in an effort to be a beacon of hope and change to the people of Tallahassee.

Located at the Florida People’s Advocacy Center, the two 25-foot murals were done by Tallahassee native Kollet Hardeman.

“I felt it was important for me in my career to show Rosa as a happy, older woman looking down on the community guiding them, a guiding compass, a beacon of hope, and so I was really eager to paint Rosa on that right side," said Hardeman. "Just happy Rosa."

She said this project was important to her because of how much these women did for her country.

The Florida People’s Advocacy Center told ABC 27 that they plan on doing more murals like this in the future.
