MOULTRIE, Ga. (WTXL) — Moultrie Police officers want to make sure students in our community have the supplies they need to help them succeed at school this year.
On Thursday, August 6, the MPD will host its first-ever Backpack Giveaway.
Children, Pre K through 12, can go to the Police Department from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and receive a meal and a backpack, while supplies last. This will be on a first-come, first-serve basis.
While there, children can get advice on the upcoming school year, and chat with officers.
If you would like to support Colquitt County students, feel free to donate items.
You’re more than welcome to drop donations off at the Police Station, located at 128 1st Street SW.
