MOULTRIE, Ga. — United together through tragedy. That's the feeling in the Moultrie community for Tripp Demott.

The first grader was seriously hurt in a car accident. The color red is more than just a color to students and faculty at R.B. Wright Elementary school, it means Tripp Strong.

Trip was hit by a car last week. Teachers, students and the community members showed their support for the first grader with a red out Monday where students sported his favorite color.

The Tripp Strong support can be seen around the city of Moultrie with red ribbons in Tripps honor.

"This tragedy as it is, has just strengthened our community and brought us closer together and made us stronger as a community as we are raising awareness in support of Tripp," said Ty Sutz, Visual Arts Instructor.

Those ribbons are available at the YMCA.

T-shirts are also being sold to help raise money for his family.

We do not know exactly how bad Tripp was hurt. A family member did post on Facebook that he is listed in critical condition.
