RESTORED: More than 2,000 people without power in Wakulla County

WAKULLA COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — Power has been fully restored to Wakulla County Duke Energy customers.

More than 2,000 Duke Energy customers are without power in Wakulla County.

According to Duke Energy's outage map, two large outages are being reported in Crawfordville, Arran, and along Crawfordville Highway, approaching Medart.

The outages were first reported around 9:38 a.m. Thursday morning. Duke Energy reports that the outage was caused by damage to nearby transmission lines.

The outage impacting Crawfordville and Arran is expected to be restored around 3:30 p.m. Thursday, according to the company's outage map. The outage along Crawfordville Highway is expected to be restored around 12:30 p.m.

In total, 2,316 people are currently without power. You can view an updated power outage map from Duke Energy here.

We've reached out to the Wakulla County School Board officials who confirmed that power has just been restored to all the district's schools. As of now, officials are working to ensure food service is back up and running.

There's no word on whether state testing has resumed.
