JEFFERSON COUNTY, Fla. — A 16-year-old was killed after being thrown from a golf cart in Jefferson County.
Levi Singleton, of Monticello, died from his injuries sustained in the accident.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, the accident happened on June 28 at the intersection of Brown and Redfish Road at about 7:45 p.m.
FHP said they were notified of a single vehicle crash involving serious bodily injuries. The crash investigation revealed that Singleton, the passenger in the golf cart, was thrown from the rear of a EZGO Golf Cart.
Singleton was transported to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital where he was later pronounced deceased. The driver of the golf cart was not injured in the accident.
The investigation is ongoing pending further actions.
