LEON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — The Florida Highway Patrol says one man has been taken to the hospital in serious condition after the garbage truck he was riding in crashed into a tree on Tuesday.
Troopers say the crash happened on Pisgah Church Road on Tuesday, just before 12:30 p.m.
The driver of the garbage truck was going west on the road when the vehicle traveled off the road and into a tree.
The passenger in the truck, a 40-year-old man from Tallahassee, was seriously hurt and taken to the hospital by Leon County EMS. The driver, a 31-year-old Quincy man, was not injured.
FHP says charges are pending further investigation.
