JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — A 24-year-old man from Graceville is dead after a pickup crashed into the back of his motorcycle on State Road 77.
The crash happened on Tuesday around 3:20 p.m.
The Florida Highway Patrol said the motorcyclist was traveling southbound on S.R. 77 while a pick up truck driven by a 51-year-old Chipley man was traveling behind him.
Troopers said the pick up began slowing down to try to turn right into a private driveway but ended up crashing into the back of the motorcycle.
After initial impact, the vehicles became attached and continued to travel south on S.R. 77 until they eventually came to a stop in the southbound lane.
The motorcyclist was killed in the crash while the pick up driver suffered minor injuries.
FHP has not said whether charges will be filed in the crash.
