TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — A Tallahassee man and a juvenile were arrested after authorities received a call of someone walking around with a gun.
Rashon Day, 18, was arrested by the Leon County Sheriff's Office.
On Wednesday, LCSO’s S.P.I.D.E.R. and Patrol Units and a K9 officer responded to the area of Oakview Drive in reference to someone walking around with a gun.
When deputies arrived on scene, they saw Day and a juvenile trying to get into a red vehicle.
LCSO says as Day was at the driver’s door, it appeared he was attempting to hide something and a bystander removed him from the vehicle. The juvenile left the scene in the vehicle as Day was detained by deputies.
Information was obtained that the gun in question was still inside the vehicle. LCSO Aviation Unit spotted the vehicle and contact was made with the driver, who immediately told deputies there was a gun in the vehicle.
Day is being charged with weapon offense improper exhibit firearm or dangerous weapon and felony possession of weapon or ammo by Florida delinquent.
The juvenile was arrested and is being charged with violation of curfew sentence.
