LEON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — A Tallahassee man is suffering from critical injuries after he was thrown from his motorcycle during a crash on Ile De France Drive.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, the accident occurred on Ile De France Drive in Leon County, on Thursday around 11:41 p.m.
FHP says Benjamin Childers, 27, was driving a Honda motorcycle when he suddenly traveled off the road.
After driving off Ile De France Drive, Childers crashed his motorcycle into a utility pole line, then collided with an electrical box.
Due to the impact of the crash, Childers was thrown off his motorcycle.
Troopers say he was transported to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital with critical injuries.
Florida Highway Patrol was assisted on scene by the Leon County Sheriff's Office and Leon County EMS.
FHP says Childers was not wearing a helmet during the crash.
Authorities say charges against Childers are pending at this time.
