Man arrested in connection to deadly shooting at Cafe Shisha

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — A man has been arrested in connection to a homicide that happened back in November of 2019 at Cafe Shisha hookah lounge on West Tennessee Street.

The Tallahassee Police Department says officers responded to a shooting in the parking lot of Cafe Shisha (2600 block of West Tennessee Street) just before 12:30 a.m. on Nov. 29.

When officers arrived on scene, they found one victim suffering from a gunshot wound.

Police that victim was taken to a local hospital, and later succumbed to their injuries.

After conducting a lengthy investigation, TPD's Violent Crimes Unit was able to identify 26-year-old De’Ondre V. Goodin as a suspect.

Police say Goodin got into a "brief altercation" just before the club let out for the night. Video surveillance footage showed Goodin shooting the victim multiple times in the back.

On Wednesday, Goodin was taken into custody by members of TPD's Career Criminal Unit and other members of the US Marshal’s Violent Fugitive Task Force in Chattahoochee.

Goodin was seen exiting a residence in the 200 block of East River Road and was taken into custody without incident.
