LEON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — A man has been arrested by the Leon County Sheriff's office for premeditated murder after deputies say he fatally stabbed his mother's fiance.

Just before 11 p.m. Tuesday night, deputies with the Leon County Sheriff’s Office responded to a home in the 8400 block of Lenova Lane for a domestic disturbance.

Once on scene, deputies determined that 40-year-old Demario Thompson got into an argument with 59-year-old Charles Duncan, Thompson’s mother’s fiancé, outside the home.

LCSO says Thompson went into the home, got a knife, and went back outside. That’s when a fight broke out that ended with Thompson stabbing Duncan numerous times.

Thompson was still on scene when deputies arrived. Duncan died as a result of his wounds, according to deputies.

Detectives with LCSO’s Violent Crimes Unit were called to continue the investigation. As a result of that investigation Thompson was arrested and taken to the Leon County Detention Facility for premeditated murder.
