TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — The City of Tallahassee officially has a new police chief.
This, after former police chief Michael DeLeo worked his last day on Friday.
Monday, Major Steve Outlaw was sworn in as the interim police chief of the City of Tallahassee.
City leaders hosted a swearing in ceremony at City Hall Monday morning.
Last month, we spoke with Major Outlaw about his goals, right after former Chief DeLeo turned in his resignation letter.
Major Outlaw said he wanted to help set the stage for the next chief.
