MADISON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — The Florida Department of Health has confirmed the first two positive cases of coronavirus in Madison County.
The positive cases were confirmed in a 23-year-old woman and a 66-year-old woman.
The 23-year-old woman recently traveled to California and is not a Madison County resident. It's unclear if she had contact with a confirmed case before testing positive.
FDOH says a 66-year-old woman from Madison County also tested positive. That woman recently traveled to unspecified parts of Florida and Georgia, but she is not believed to have had direct contact with a confirmed case before testing positive.
In their Wednesday evening report, FDOH said that 30 people have been tested for COVID-19 in Madison County.
