TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — One Tallahassee thrift store owner said it is now time to shut the doors.

The Lucky Duck Resale for Autism Thrift Store off North Monroe Street is closing business by next month.

This nonprofit opened to raise awareness of autism in the Big Bend, and to raise money for families of those with autism who need support.

The store's owner Jean Josey says she she is sad to make this decision but is grateful to her loyal customers in the last decade.

"I'm ready to retire and see other things. I'm really sad for my customers cause I'm gonna miss them all very much. We all became very close. Love them all dearly -- they've supported us for ten full years," said Jean Josey, Owner of Lucky Duck.

Josey said she is proud of the work her team has done to help raise awareness for autism in Tallahassee and now looks forward to traveling across the country during her retirement.
