QUINCY, Fla. (WTXL) — The Quincy Police Department announced Tuesday that one of it's longtime K-9s has died.
Figo, a police K-9 with the Quincy Police Department, died after being diagnosed with lymphatic cancer.
QPD said the K-9 joined the department in December 2011 and "served proudly and valiantly" alongside his partner Lt. Eric Howell.
"Figo was instrumental in making many felony arrests over the 9 year period," police wrote in a release. "Figo was a loyal member of the department and will be greatly missed, but never forgotten."
