LEON COUNTY, Fla. — Your vote could help the effort to fight hunger in Leon County.

Business developers at Domi Station are competing for a grant that would allow them to create Hucksters Mobile Market, a food truck that can deliver fresh ingredients to low-income communities.

According to Second Harvest of the Big Bend, our region includes the top three most food insecure counties in Florida.

Leon County is ranked at number three.

"That's the main issue. Either they don't have access to fresh foods or they only have access to fast food places. with this truck, we'll be able to combat that and be able to provide them with proper resources and hopefully help them live a happier healthier life," said Jesse Taylor, Hucksters Mobile Food Market team member.

Thursday is the last day to vote in the contest. You have until midnight.

The winners will receive $10,000 to go toward their development.
