TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Some local organizations in Tallahassee are working together to gather supplies to send to the Abaco Islands in the Bahamas after Hurricane Dorian, and you can help.

Benner's Contracting is one of the organizations involved in the supply drive. Brad Benner says they will be transporting donations by plane and freight at the end of the week.

Drop off locations for donations are at Conley Elementary School and Roberts Elementary School. Principle Jason Koerner at Conley Elementary School says donations, especially water, are desperately needed.

"It's harder to get supplies over there. They are more dependent on other people and to be able to help them in any way we are just happy to do that," said Koerner.

You can donate water, non-perishable food, toiletries, baby wipes, sanitizing wipes, diapers, hygiene products, cleaning supplies and tents at Roberts Elementary School and Conley Elementary School from 7:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. until Thursday afternoon.
