HAVANA, Fla. — Kids in Havana got a hands-on demonstration about space science Tuesday morning.

Members of the Challenger Space Center Staff came out to the Havana Public Library to teach kids about space.

They demonstrated what happened when you remove air from a volume, set off a rocket engine, and showed how satellites turn without rocket engines.

"Science can be fun and that's what we're showing that science is fun, the engineering is fun," said Lloyd Wheeler, with Challenger Learning Center of Tallahassee. "I love it when I see the eyes open up during some of the demonstrations, even the adults don't believe some of what I'm doing."

If you missed Tuesday afternoon's demonstration, there will be another one at 6:30 p.m. at the McGill Library.
