TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Storms in our area usually bring strong winds and rain, which can cause power outages.

Electric companies in our area, are already preparing for damage a storm may bring.

Talquin Electric says it has scheduled more crew members to work this week, in case of any power outages.

One employee says ahead of a storm, it's important they stay prepared.

"If you have a generator, make sure you have fuel and make sure it's running good and just be patient," said Bobby Robinson, Assistant Superintendent at Talquin Electric. "We're not expecting widespread outages, but what we do may take a little time."

It’s also important to avoid any downed power lines, as they may still carry electricity.
