TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — It's that time of the year again. Florida State University's College Town is gearing up to welcome back one its favorite events, The Friday Night Block Party.

It officially kicks off Friday evening. Some stores are beginning to prep for the increase of customers they are expecting to see this weekend as they depend on the crowd the block party brings in to support their business.

Despite the rain chances, the hopes for a large turnout are high for one store manager.

She wants to encourage people to come out and support her businesses regardless of what the weather looks like.

"It's a block party, it's a good time. People are here to have a good time. Ultimately that's why we are open and we are encouraging people to come to the block party," said Rebecca Bone, Manager of Barefoot Clothing Store. "If it rains it rains, you can still have a good time."

The Friday Night Block Party will kick off starting at 5 p.m. Friday.
