GADSDEN COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — Little River Bridge on C.R. 268 in Gadsden County is closed until further notice due to "deficiencies" noted in a recent state inspection.
The inspection report from the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) was sent back to the county on Thursday, prompting the closure.
Gadsden County Public Works says they are actively securing the bridge. Little River Bridge will remain unavailable for public access until further notice as repairs are made.
Detour barricades have been posted at Old Federal Road and High Bridge Road in Quincy. Barricades have also been set up at Martin Luther King Blvd. and Little River Road in Midway.
Residents will be routed to U.S. Highway 90 via the detour.
