(WTXL) — Here's a list of Veterans Day events going on in our local area:
North Florida:
LEON COUNTY
- The Florida Health Care Association (FHCA) is hosting their annual Veterans Recognition Ceremony on Monday, at 8:30am in the association’s new training center in downtown Tallahassee.
- Operation Thank You Veterans Day Breakfast will be held at the American Legion on Lake Ella Drive on Monday at 6:30 a.m.
- MISSION BBQ will be serving free sandwiches for Veterans and active duty military personnel along with a live performance of the National Anthem at noon. This event will be from 11 a.m. – 8 p.m. at 216 S Magnolia Drive.
- Tallahassee's annual Veterans Day Parade will be held on Monday at 9:30 a.m. in Downtown Tallahassee.
WAKULLA COUNTY
- 5K, Parade & Festival at Azalea and Hudson Park on Nov. 9 starting at 7:30 a.m.
South Georgia:
LOWNDES COUNTY
- Valdosta State University's Office of Adult and Military Programs will host a Veterans Day Ceremony at 11 a.m. on Monday outside Pound Hall on the Rea and Lillian Steele North Campus.
