(WTXL) — As many begin to prepare for Saturday's predicted severe weather, many events have been postponed or canceled:
LEON COUNTY, FL:
- Bunk Bed Build has been canceled in Tallahassee and will be rescheduled a later date.
- Trick or Treat with Deputies event in canceled in Leon County.
- The 8th annual Tallahassee Science Festival scheduled for Saturday, October 19 at Kleman Plaza has been canceled and will be rescheduled for a later date.
- Tallahassee Community College Gadsden Center Preparedness on a Budget workshop has been canceled and will be rescheduled for a later date.
- The 6th Masonic District of Florida event 'Shoes for Hope' has been postponed to Oct. 26
- The Friday performance of “King Hedley” at FAMU Essential Theatre has been canceled. The Saturday and Sunday matinee performances have been moved to 8 p.m. Saturday and 8 p.m. Sunday.
- The FAMU Pharmacy Fourth Annual Health Fair in Crestview has been canceled.
- Clinical for FAMU nursing students at Capital Regional Medical Center and Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare are canceled from 8 p.m. Friday to 8 p.m. Saturday.
- The FAMU volleyball match versus Coppin State has been moved to 6 p.m. Friday. The volleyball match versus Morgan State has been moved to 11 a.m. Sunday. The Sunday afternoon softball triple header has been canceled.
- All Pop Warner football games have been canceled.
- Rural Waste Service Centers closed Saturday and reopen on Sunday.
- Cash for Trash at Cascades Park canceled.
- Movies in the Park at Cascades Park canceled.
- Walk to Defeat ALS at Cascades Park has been delayed to Dec. 14
- "Beyond Your Bucket" Disaster Preparedness Session at Tallahassee Community College postponed to Oct. 26.
WAKULLA COUNTY, FL:
- The annual Shadeville Fall festival in Wakulla scheduled for Saturday has been canceled. There will be a Family Bingo night scheduled along with food sales on a date to be determined in the coming weeks.
- The annual WMS versus RMS football game in Wakulla has been rescheduled for Tuesday October 22nd at 6 p.m. at Reynolds field.
FRANKLIN COUNTY, FL:
- Lantern Festival in Carrabelle has been rescheduled to Sunday at Crooked River Lighthouse.
JACKSON COUNTY, FL:
- 39th Annual Harvest Festival & Parade has been canceled due to inclement weather.
LOWNDES COUNTY, GA:
- Valdosta State University Homecoming Parade has been rescheduled to Friday at 4 p.m. The parade will follow the same route.
- Valdosta State University's Homecoming game against Florida Tech has been pushed back to 7 p.m. Saturday.
- All scheduled tailgate events at Valdosta State University will begin at 5 p.m. Saturday in VSU's University Center unless otherwise communicated.
