TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — The lockout has been lifted at Leon High School after police responded to shots being fired nearby in Midtown.

On Tuesday, Tallahassee police responded to the report of gunshots around 10:53 a.m. in the 500 block of East Georgia Street off North Meridian Street near Leon High School.

The high school followed a "lockout" procedure, where students are kept in the buildings, doors are locked and classes continue as normal, Leon County Schools spokesman Chris Petley said.

Police say no one was injured during this incident.
