TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — To commemorate the 155th anniversary of Juneteenth the Leon County School District issued a statement of equality and social justice.
The statement reads in part:
We endeavor to provide an environment in which all students, faculty, staff and families are treated fairly and without racial bias.
As such, we recognize and empathize with the current events and systemic trauma of the African-American community. We stand in solidarity with all those who oppose racism and racial injustice
