TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — In an email sent to Leon County School parents Friday, the LCS Calendar Committee provided two options for the next two school years, and are asking for recommendations in a survey.
The options are for the 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 school years.
Below are the highlights for each calendar option:
Option 1 (2021-2022)
- Students, teachers and staff report on Nov. 22 and 23, 2021
- Early Release Days: December 15, 16 and 17, 2021
- Early Release Days: May 23, 24 and 25, 2022
- School year ends on Wednesday, May 25, 2022
Option 2 (2021-2022)
- Thanksgiving Holidays for students and teachers: Nov. 22 – 26, 2021
- Early Release Days: May 23, 24 and 25, 2022
- School year ends on Wednesday, May 25, 2022
Option 1 (2022-2023)
- Students/teachers and staff report on November 21 and 22, 2022
- Early Release Days December 14, 15 and 16, 2022
- Early Release Days – May 22, 23 and 24, 2023
- School year ends on Wednesday, May 24, 2023
Option 2 (2022-2023)
- Thanksgiving Holidays for students and teachers: Nov. 21 – 25, 2022
- Early Release Days: May 22, 23 and 24, 2023
- Ends school year Wednesday, May 24, 2023
LCS is asking parents to share their recommendations for the school year calendars by clicking here.
The survey will remain open until 5 p.m. on Feb. 3.
LCS' District Advisory Council will review final information in order to make a recommendation to our School Board on Feb. 9.
