Leon County Schools announced Tuesday morning the new safety initiatives they plan to have set in place specifically for its secondary schools.
According to LCS, the enhancements will include:
- LCS pup patrol
- Weapons detecting Patrol Dog will search classrooms at random.
- Anonymous alert program
- Each middle school and high school will have an alert program.
- Handheld magnotrometers
- In partnership with Pup Patrol, handheld wanding will be enacted by safety staff
