LEON COUNTY, Fla. — After a natural disaster, many people are left looking for their lost pets. Others maybe trying to figure out how they can afford to feed them.

After the recent tornado in Leon County, the Leon County Humane Society has not heard of anyone losing their pets or in need of assistance. But the humane society says they are still available to help people who faced disaster by providing pet food.

Lisa Glunt, Executive Director of Leon County Humane Society, says if you are struggling to feed your pet, the humane society has a food pantry available.

"Anyone who is having additional expenses or maybe struggling a little bit and needs a little kind of cushion, the pet food pantry allows us to provide community members with pet food and supplies to kind of help them out during harder times," said Glunt.

If you would like to go to the food pantry your pet must be neutered.
