LEON COUNTY, Fla. — If you're interested in starting a community garden, Leon County wants to help.
They're encouraging residents to apply for their Community Garden Grant.
It provides support to citizens who want to start or revitalize a community garden anywhere in the county. Community gardens provide access to free produce.
They save participants money, increase access to healthy food, and cut down on the amount of fossil fuel used to get food to the dinner table.
